NUAN 814 Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Residency II 2.0 Credits

Nurse anesthesia clinical residency II continues to challenge the nurse anesthesia resident to integrate best evidence to deliver independent, safe, vigilant, culturally competent perianesthesia care across the lifespan. The nurse anesthesia resident develops, implements, and evaluates anesthesia care for all patient populations. Psychometric, cognitive and organizational skills are advanced by increased expectations for autonomous practice and the ability to manage challenging perianesthesia events. Satisfactory evaluation of clinical performance demonstrates that the nurse anesthesia resident has achieved the final clinical course requirements and developed the competencies to successfully transition to nurse anesthesia practice upon graduation. This course is also complemented by advanced simulation.
