NUAN 8200 Introduction to Nurse Anesthesia DNP Projects and Evidence-Based Nursing 3.0 Credits
This course introduces students to the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) role in Nurse Anesthesiology and the foundational components of scholarly project development. Emphasis is placed on principles of evidence-based practice, systematic literature searching, and critical appraisal of evidence to identify clinically relevant practice problems impacting nurse anesthesia care. Students formulate structured clinical questions using the PICOT framework and explore the processes of project design, implementation planning, evaluation, and dissemination. The course establishes the methodological and scholarly foundation necessary for the successful development and execution of a DNP practice-focused project.
