NUAN 9111 Nurse Anesthesia for Special Patient Populations II 3.0 Credits
This is the second in a series of three nurse anesthesia practice courses for special patient populations. This course critically examines the physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and anesthetic management for vascular, thoracic, cardiac, and neurological patient populations. Common surgical and diagnostic procedures are also discussed. Students apply theoretical knowledge and evidence-based principles to deliver safe, culturally competent perianesthesia care for these special patient populations.
