NUPR 703 Nursing Knowledge Development: Ways of Knowing 2.0 Credits

This course is designed to help students explore the development of nursing knowledge and its relationship to practice. A critical analysis of historical and contemporary views of nursing science knowledge development and the evolution of nursing inquiry will be addressed. Approaches to concept analysis will be an integral part of this course. Students will examine the role that theory plays in research and evidence-based nursing practice. Students will consider opportunities to improve health outcomes and care delivery processes within the context of theory application.
