NURS 6003 Advanced Health Assessment and Diagnostic Reasoning 4.0 Credits
This course builds on basic nursing health assessment knowledge to introduce advanced health assessment techniques and diagnostic reasoning for advanced practice nursing students. Focusing on clinical history taking, physical, and psychosocial assessments, students will learn to assess individuals and families across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on differentiating normal variations from pathophysiologic changes, integrating advanced clinical reasoning to inform diagnosis and care planning. The course prepares students to apply advanced assessment skills in diverse clinical settings to guide effective patient management.
