NURS 6301 Fostering a Culture of Safety in Healthcare 3.0 Credits
This course focuses on improving healthcare quality and safety by integrating evidence-based strategies, including TeamSTEPPS, root cause analysis, and CANDOR. Students will develop competencies in systems thinking, human factors, interprofessional communication, and quality improvement. Emphasis is placed on leadership, psychological safety, and proactive risk management. The course culminates in a simulation experience in which students apply learned principles to realistic clinical scenarios.
