NURS 7601 Evidence-Based Diagnostic Reasoning and Clinical Decision Making for the Primary Care NP II 5.0 Credits
This clinical-based Nurse Practitioner course emphasizes clinical judgment, decision-making, and patient-centered care. Students will integrate evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and communication to assess and manage health conditions, considering psychosocial, cultural, and environmental factors. Focus is placed on adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the primary care population/setting. The course emphasizes professional role development, leadership, interprofessional collaboration, and ethical practice in diverse healthcare settings. Through faculty-supervised direct patient care clinical hours, students will gain hands-on experience, preparing them to deliver safe, effective, person-centered care in their advanced practice roles.
