NURS 7623 Evidence-Based Diagnostic Reasoning and Clinical Decision Making for the WHNP IV 5.0 Credits
This clinical-based Nurse Practitioner course emphasizes clinical judgment, decision-making, and patient-centered care. Students will integrate evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and communication to assess and manage health conditions, considering psychosocial, cultural, and environmental factors. A continued focus is placed on increasingly complex gender related issues throughout the lifespan. The course emphasizes professional role development, leadership, interprofessional collaboration, and ethical practice in diverse healthcare settings. Through faculty-supervised direct patient care clinical hours, students will gain hands-on experience, preparing them to deliver safe, effective, person-centered care in their advanced practice roles.
