NURS 8002 Applied Global Epidemiology and Health Equity 3.0 Credits

This course integrates applied epidemiologic methods with a global health framework to address disparities, promote social justice, and inform evidence-based interventions. Students will explore epidemiological approaches for analyzing population health, disease burden, and health equity on a global scale. Emphasis is placed on the interpretation of epidemiological data, critical evaluation of health indicators, and understanding social determinants of health. The course highlights culturally inclusive, ethical, and interprofessional strategies that support the development of equitable and sustainable global health policies and practices.
