NURS 8006 DNP Practicum for Professional Role Development 1.0-5.0 Credit
This variable-credit, repeatable practicum course provides Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students with the opportunity to complete additional practicum hours required for program completion. Students engage in individualized, faculty-guided practicum experiences designed to expand the depth and breadth of their advanced nursing practice within a defined area of specialization, such as a population, clinical or systems problem, practice setting, type of care, or disease/specialty focus. Practicum activities emphasize the integration of knowledge, skills, and competencies that align with the student’s professional goals and DNP Project, fostering growth in clinical expertise, systems-level thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and interprofessional collaboration.
