Students explore conceptual foundations of nursing science and consider contextual factors, such as culture, age, gender, environment, and health systems, that shape knowledge development. Through activities such as concept analysis, integrative or systematic approaches to literature review, and scholarly critique, students explore and refine a phenomenon of interest and begin building the intellectual foundation for future research.
