OP 5130 Upper Limb Prosthetic Practice 5.0 Credits
This course examines the principles, foundational knowledge, and clinical practices of upper limb (UL) prosthetic management. Prosthetic designs across all levels will be reviewed, along with specialty populations including bilateral and congenital limb differences. Topics include patient models and outcome assessment, post-operative management, impression and measurement techniques, fit and function evaluation, fabrication processes, and component/material selection. The course will explore the social contexts shaping patient experiences and emphasizes the value of interprofessional care.
