OSCM 2200 Operations and Supply Chain Management 3.0 Credits

This course provides an introduction to the field of operations and supply chain management. Within a firm, operational processes transform inputs into finished goods or services. Design, direction, and control of these processes is a primary business function. An important complement to this function is supply chain management: design and management of the processes that connect a firm to its business partners (suppliers and customers). Through this course, students will learn the concepts and vocabulary that are used in operations or supply chain management and the challenges that managers face. Additionally, students gain experience in applying quantitative methods and/or reasonable judgement to propose good solutions to problems in operations and supply chain management.
