OSCM 3210 Sustainable Supply Chain Management and Logistics 3.0 Credits
This course examines how supply chains are designed and managed to increase environmental and social sustainability. Students learn how sourcing, production, transportation and logistics decisions shape sustainability outcomes and how those decisions ripple across supply chain networks. The course emphasizes tools and frameworks used to evaluate trade-offs, measure impacts and integrate sustainability into strategic decision-making. Key topics include life cycle assessment, footprints, circular supply chains, reverse logistics, sustainable sourcing and low-impact transportation. Through case studies, in-class activities and a project, students gain knowledge of real-world sustainability initiatives and develop an understanding of sustainability that includes environmental, social and economic dimensions.
