OTD 8004 Teaching Occupational Therapy in Higher Education 3.0 Credits
This doctoral course prepares future educators in occupational therapy for academic roles in graduate education. Learners develop skills in syllabus design, course development, assessment, mentoring, and instructional strategies for in-person and online environments. Emphasis is placed on educational theory, evidence-based teaching practices, and effective use of technology. Students take this course to build confidence and competence in academic teaching, transition successfully into faculty roles, and enhance student learning outcomes.
