OTD 8005 Research Methods in Occupational Therapy 3.0 Credits
This doctoral course prepares learners by developing research and program evaluation skills. Topics include literature searching and synthesis, research question development and study design, qualitative and quantitative methods, data collection and coding, and survey development. Students learn about research ethics and the role of an Institutional Review Board in ensuring scientific rigor and protecting the rights and welfare of research participants. Students will undergo CITI registration and training during this course. Students take this course to build strong methodological foundations and confidently design and identify rigorous, practice-relevant scholarly projects in the field of occupational therapy.
