PA 5110 Anatomy for PA Studies 4.0 Credits
This lecture and lab-based course provides an in-depth study of human gross anatomy using a regional approach, emphasizing structure–function relationships essential to physician assistant education. Through integrated lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions in the gross anatomy laboratory, students examine the anatomical organization of the body, including musculoskeletal, neurovascular, visceral, and surface anatomy. Cadaveric dissections and prosections are used to develop three-dimensional understanding and spatial reasoning, reinforcing comprehension of anatomical relationships. Upon completion, students will be able to identify and describe normal human anatomy and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of anatomical relationships necessary for success in subsequent clinical coursework.
