PA 5114 Clinical Assessment 4.0 Credits
This lecture and laboratory-based course introduces first-year Physician Assistant students to the foundational knowledge, professional behaviors, and technical skills needed to perform core physical examination techniques across body systems. Through coordinated lecture and laboratory experiences, students build on their anatomy and physiology coursework to deepen their understanding of the physiologic and pathophysiologic basis of common clinical signs and symptoms. Emphasis is placed on developing early clinical reasoning skills and establishing competence in structured, patient-centered clinical assessment to support progression into subsequent didactic and clinical coursework.
