PA 5316 Biopsychosocial Foundations of Patient Care 3.0 Credits
This lecture-based course introduces PA students to the biopsychosocial model, emphasizing how biological, psychological, and social factors shape health and illness. The course also covers psychiatric disorders frequently encountered in primary care and provides a foundation in the neuropathological and psychological processes that influence behavior, cognition, and patient experience.
