PA 5320 Pharmacology II 3.0 Credits
This is the second of a series of three lecture-based courses to provide PA students with basic knowledge in pharmacology and therapeutics. Students will study pharmacologic mechanisms of action, effects on organ systems, routes of administration, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic indications, considerations related to age and physiologic state, adverse reactions, contraindications and drug interactions. In addition the PA student will analyze the scope of legal and professional responsibilities related to pharmacology in the expanding physician assistant role.
