PA 5330 Foundations of Clinical Practice II 4.0 Credits
This second course in a two-part lecture and lab sequence advances students’ clinical reasoning and physical diagnosis skills through small group, problem based learning and hands on practice. Using organ system patient cases aligned with Clinical Medicine II, Pharmacology II, and Pathophysiology, students further apply medical knowledge to refine evidence based critical thinking. Emphasis remains on primary care across the lifespan, including evaluation and management of common conditions. Through advanced labs and simulation, learners perform more focused and complex histories, conduct comprehensive and targeted exams, and document findings with greater precision while maintaining patient centered care and cultural humility.
