PA 6210 Transition to Professional Clinical Practice 3.0 Credits
This course introduces students to professional clinical practice through lectures and workshops. Lectures cover the transition to practice, PANCE preparation, contract negotiation, licensure, PA–physician supervisory agreements, and other professional topics. Workshops may enhance clinical knowledge and technical skills. To graduate, students must complete all coursework and pass the Summative Evaluation, which assesses medical knowledge, clinical and technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and professional behavior. Students will complete an end‑of‑curriculum exam, a multi‑case OSCE with standardized patient encounters, post‑encounter questions, a SOAP note, and demonstrate required procedural skills.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Restrictions: Can enroll if major is PA.
