PAS 5062 Physical Diagnosis 3 1.0 Credit

As the third in a series of three courses, this course will use the competencies acquired in Physical Diagnosis 1 and 2 as the foundation students use to refine their skills in performing the focused medical history and physical examination. Additionally, the course will facilitate critical thinking in the student's approach to a patient's physical complaint. Students will practice their history taking and examination techniques during faculty-supervised peer and standardized patient encounters. As a part of this course, students will participate in the second of a two-part workshop series at the Barnes Foundation, focusing on perspective-taking and personal bias, and its impact on clinical care. In-Person, Lecture/Lab.
