PAS 5930 Capstone Project 1 0.5 Credits

The Capstone Project is a two-part faculty-guided independent study course. Capstone Project 1 and 2 courses culminate in a graduate-level paper, suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal, and a related project presentation. Combined, these are part of a summative evaluation used to measure cognitive and affective domains near program completion. The graduate paper is an AMA-formatted research paper based on a patient case or condition seen during the clinical year, or a medically relevant topic of interest. Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills while applying evidence-based medicine. In Capstone 1, a topic proposal is developed, an initial outline created, a literature review conducted, and the initial draft of the introduction and methodology sections completed. Hybrid, Capstone.
