PAS 6200 Emergency Medicine 2.0-4.5 Credits
The five (5) week Emergency Medicine rotation takes place in a hospital emergency department, providing the PA student with exposure to both urgent care as well as acute medical and surgical conditions. Students will function as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with healthcare providers from all disciplines. Through supervised patient contact, the student will gain experience in performing directed history and physical examinations, documenting patient encounters, and assessing and managing episodic illness. Additionally, the student will perform the clinical skills common within the Emergency Medicine setting. In-Person, Clinical Rotation.
