PBHL 3002 Public Health Biology 3.0 Credits
This course is designed to introduce students to the biological basis of the causes, natural history, and prevention of diseases of public health importance. An integrative perspective will be used to demonstrate the connection between exposures and cellular effects, disease processes in individuals, and population impacts. The diseases covered in this class will include those that contribute the most to the burden of disease both in the United States and globally. This material will be viewed through the One Health perspective, examining the interaction of humans, animals, and the environment in many disease processes.
