PBHL 3050 History of Public Health 3.0 Credits
This course examines the historical foundations of public health and their influence on contemporary practice and policy. Through a chronological and thematic approach, students will explore major events, scientific breakthroughs, and social movements that have shaped public health in the United States and globally. Students will critically analyze how social, cultural, political, and professional contexts have influenced public health theory and practice, and evaluate contemporary issues through a historical lens.
