PBHL 511 Public Health Foundations and Systems II 4.0 Credits
This 4-credit course is part 2 of a two-quarter, multi-disciplinary introduction to the theory and practice of public health. Students will consider the breadth of the public health mission and the history and values that shape the public health response to societal health problems. This course covers the translation of knowledge into public health policies and actions, public health program planning and management, and leadership in public health. The course uses historical and current examples to illuminate problem-solving principles and practice in public health.
