PHTO 3002 History of Photography II 3.0 Credits
This course offers a critical survey of photography’s evolution from the mid-20th century to the contemporary era. Moving beyond traditional debates, it investigates how photographic theory and practice have transformed in response to technological, social, and political shifts. Through visual analysis and discussion, students evaluate key movements, such as the emergence of conceptualism and the digital transition, to understand how the medium continues to shape and reflect our cultural landscape.
