PHYS 2861 Mathematical Physics 3.0 Credits
This course presents the mathematical background underlying many of the physics core courses, consisting of standard tools of mathematical physics, including treatment of linear and non-linear differential equations using analytical, graphical, and numerical methods. The exposition of the theory will be guided by solving appropriate physics problems from all areas of physics.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Prerequisites: (PHYS 1202 [Min Grade: D] or PHYS 1402 [Min Grade: D]) and MATH 1202 [Min Grade: D]
