PHYS 4411 Advanced Quantum Mechanics 3.0 Credits
Explores advanced topics in quantum mechanics starting from the classical foundations of quantum mechanics, solutions to the one- and three-dimensional Schrodinger equation, angular momentum, matrix mechanics, the hydrogen atom, and perturbation theory. It covers advanced topics including spin, addition of angular momentum, scattering theory, relativistic quantum mechanics, atoms and molecules, and radiation from atoms.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Prerequisites: MATH 2901 [Min Grade: D] (Can be taken Concurrently) and PHYS 2411 [Min Grade: D] and PHYS 2421 [Min Grade: D]
