PHYS 4988 Senior Thesis in Physics I 3.0 Credits
The first of a two-semester thesis sequence in a subfield of theoretical or experimental physics chosen in consultation with a faculty advisor. Students will work on a research project by developing a hypothesis on an outstanding problem in physics, consulting literature, and carrying out their research on the project. Requires periodic written and oral progress reports by the student.
