Provides the atomic basis of the physical properties of materials, including crystalline and non-crystalline solids. Detailed introductory treatment of the structural, vibrational, and electronic properties of solid and their inter-relationships, along with an overview of other materials, properties, and scientific basis of technological applications will be included.
