POLS 2008 International Political Economy 3.0 Credits
More than ever, global politics is largely about international trade and business. This course will examine how countries conduct global commerce, how they try to regulate it, how they benefit, and how they are harmed by the movement of goods, services, and capital across borders. It will also examine various theories about the nature of global commerce, and what effects it has on citizens in both rich and poor countries. It will also fit global trade into the larger context of international relations, war, and peace.
