PROD 2025 Digital Techniques for Product Design 3.0 Credits
This course explores 3D digital modeling as a core part of the product design process, emphasizing form, proportion, and concept development. Students will use industry-standard software to generate, refine, and visualize ideas from sketching to detailed digital prototypes. Modeling is presented as a tool for design thinking—supporting iteration, analysis, and creative exploration. Through tutorials, exercises, and projects, students examine how digital form-making shapes user experience, aesthetic language, and function. The course integrates conceptual development, workflow, and presentation methods that enhance clarity and precision in design communication.
