PROD 2050 History of Product Design 3.0 Credits
This seminar explores the evolution of product design through major movements, influential designers, and the cultural, social, and economic forces that shaped them. Students examine both well-known figures and emerging designers from across the globe to understand how design reflects and responds to its context. Through short applied assignments and visual analyses, students connect historical insights to contemporary design challenges and develop a critical lens for evaluating products.
