PROD 4998 Product Design Capstone Studio I 3.0 Credits
The first in a two-course capstone sequence, this course guides students in initiating and defining a design opportunity within their chosen topic area. Students engage in research, interviews, and problem finding to select a project direction to develop. In this self-directed process with faculty guidance, students define an opportunity, gather and analyze information, and translate insights into a clear design proposal. The course culminates in the creation of a novel, appropriate, and user-focused design direction following the necessary research and initial prototyping phases.
