PRST 3440 Policy Analysis and Strategic Decision-Making 3.0 Credits

This course examines the policy process from agenda setting and initiation through decision-making, implementation, evaluation, and assessment. Students develop analytical tools for understanding how policy is created, interpreted, and applied across public, private, and nonprofit environments. Emphasis is placed on critical analysis, strategic thinking, and the practical value of policy knowledge in professional roles that require informed judgment, including consideration of how emerging technologies and AI may shape policy development, implementation, and oversight.
