PSY 2000 Abnormal Psychology 3.0 Credits
This course will provide an overview of the identification, prevention, and treatment of psychological disorders. It will explore biopsychosocial contributions to, as well as protective and risk factors for, psychological well-being and distress. The course will discuss the diagnostic criteria and interventions for selected disorders, and examine ethical and legal considerations in mental health. This course offers a foundation for understanding concepts of normality and “abnormality”.
