PSY 3020 Drugs and Human Behavior 3.0 Credits

This course examines the effects of drugs on human thinking and behavior. Students will examine both illicit (street) drugs and licit (prescription) drugs to understand how these drugs produce their physical and psychological effects. Students will gain an understanding of the etiology and epidemiology of drug use and drug abuse/dependence, the pharmacology of psychoactive substances, and empirically supported prevention and intervention strategies.
