PTRS 9140 Integumentary Physical Therapy Management 1.0 Credit
This course focuses on the examination, evaluation, and management of integumentary conditions across the lifespan, including wounds, burns, and skin-related impairments relevant to physical therapy practice. Students integrate knowledge of tissue healing, risk factors, and medical management to inform clinical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on performing integumentary examination, selecting and interpreting outcome measures, and applying evidence-based interventions to promote tissue integrity and functional mobility. Students consider patient-specific factors, interdisciplinary collaboration, and prevention strategies to support optimal outcomes in individuals with integumentary dysfunction.
