PTRS 9266 Advanced Regional Anatomy 2.0 Credits
This advanced elective provides in-depth study of the structural and functional anatomy of a selected body region through independent, skilled dissection. Students develop high-quality prosections for future instructional use, contributing to the program’s anatomical resources. Laboratory experiences emphasize advanced dissection techniques, detailed anatomical analysis, and integration of anatomical structure with physical therapy examination, intervention, and clinical reasoning. Students investigate a clinically relevant question related to their selected region through literature review and synthesis, strengthening their ability to translate anatomical knowledge to physical therapy practice and education.
