REMD 2110 Introduction to Real Estate Management 3.0 Credits
This course provides an overview of real estate management and its development into a multi-trillion-dollar professional industry. Students explore investment property types and the functions of real estate managers, including operations, finance, marketing, risk management, and compliance with landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations. Topics include contract and lease management, property maintenance, financial analysis, and ethics. Emphasis is placed on managing multifamily, office, and industrial properties, understanding income statements and net operating income, and applying risk management strategies. The course prepares students for careers in real estate investment and property management.
