REMD 3410 Real Estate Investment and Asset Management 3.0 Credits

This course explores the financial and operational principles of managing income-producing real estate assets. Students learn how to analyze ownership objectives, acquisitions, dispositions, and development decisions while applying financial tools to maximize asset value. Emphasis is placed on property valuation, operating budgets, pro formas, and key performance measures such as net operating income, cash flow, IRR, and ROI. Through case studies and applied exercises, students develop skills in financial reporting, decision-making, and strategic asset management. The course prepares students to evaluate market conditions, assess investment performance, and implement strategies that enhance long-term property value.
