SBUS 6602 Legal and Ethical Issues in Sport Business 3.0 Credits

This course explores the complex legal and ethical landscape of the modern sport industry. Students will examine key areas— including tort liability, risk management, contracts, employment, constitutional rights, gender equity, antitrust, and intellectual property—while also evaluating the ethical dilemmas that shape decision-making across these domains. Through case law analysis, current events, and applied discussions, students will learn how legal principles and ethical reasoning intersect to influence policy, protect stakeholders, and guide responsible management practices in professional, collegiate, and amateur sport settings.
