SCRP 1100 Foundational Screenwriting 3.0 Credits
This course is the entry point for the creation of scripts for film and television. Students gain a thorough understanding of the form and function of the screenplay document as a blueprint for a production. Assignments explore the fundamental techniques of visual writing, scene construction, character creation, dialog, and film structure. These skills are demonstrated in the drafting and rewriting of a short-form script for future production.
