SCRP 3200 Advanced Playwriting 3.0 Credits
This project-based course is designed to support students with prior playwriting experience through the creation of a full-length play. Students will work on their original script throughout the semester, receive feedback from the instructor and their peers, and meet writing deadlines. Students may also be assigned to read plays that are relevant to their own writing, and to read and respond to other students’ work. At the end of the course, each student will have completed the script for an original full-length play, revised it based on feedback, and have a strong understanding of the business of playwriting and where to submit plays for production.
