SCRP 3325 Writing the Solo Performance 3.0 Credits
This course guides students through the process of writing and performing a short monologue play. Designed for students with some acting experience, some writing experience, or neither, the assignments will explore the special considerations of writing a piece for yourself to perform. Assignments may include attending performances in Philadelphia, reading scripts and watching videos of professional solo performers, and assignments that combine acting and writing. The course will culminate with an evening of short performances for an invited audience.
