SE 4110 Software Evolution 3.0 Credits

This course covers the principles and practices of software evolution and maintenance, with an emphasis on managing change in large, long-lived systems. Topics include AI-assisted reverse engineering, corrective and adaptive maintenance, refactoring, restructuring, and rearchitecting. The course also addresses configuration and version control, along with continuous measurement and monitoring of software quality and productivity. Students learn techniques for analyzing, planning, implementing, monitoring change to sustain software quality and long-term system viability.
