SOC 1040 Introduction to Research Methods 3.0 Credits
This course provides an in-depth exploration of sociological research design and both qualitative and quantitative methods. Topics include sampling, validity, human subjects ethics, recruitment, and generalizability. Students learn to design interview guides, conduct research interviews. This course will lay the foundation for statistical analysis of social science data using software such as NVivo and SPSS and RStudio.
